The Maxwell Wildcat wrestling team competed in a triangular with rival Brady and No. 2 ranked duals team, Mullen.
Brady opened against Mullen and was no match for the larger Bronco team. Mullen won, 57-15.
Next was the anticipated Maxwell v. Mullen match.
Mullen owned the light weights but Maxwell countered by dominating the middle and heavyweights. In an upset, Maxwell defeated Mullen 42-40. The win likely will propel Maxwell into the state duals competition, which pits the best eight teams in class D.
In the final dual, Maxwell defeated Brady 72-9.
