North Platte High finished second at the John Higgins Invitational on Saturday in Lexington.

The Bulldogs scored 188 points to finish behind Bennington. Bennington won with 203 1/2.

Ryan Fox was North Platte’s lone individual champion. The senior won the 152-pound weight class to stay undefeated on the season. In the finals, he pinned Collin McDaniel of Scott City, Kan. with 25 seconds left in the match.

Brody Pitner was second at 106 pounds. He was pinned by Austin Collins of Wray, Colo. in the finals.

Xavier Albertson finished third at 182 pounds. Tyler Haneborg, Haedyn Brauer and Brock Roblee each finished fourth.

Next, the Bulldogs will wrestle a dual at Millard West on Jan. 26.
