State troopers arrested a California man Friday and seized 155 pounds of marijuana and hundreds of THC vape cartridges during a traffic stop on I-80 near Lexington.

Nebraska State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas said at approximately 5:10 p.m. Friday, a trooper saw an Infinity QX60 speeding east at 98 mph. The trooper pulled the car over and became suspicious of criminal activity.

Thomas said the car was searched, revealing 155 pounds of marijuana as well as 439 THC vape cartridges.

Thomas said the drugs are valued on the street at more than $500,000.

The driver, Michael Banks, 27, of San Bernardino, Calif. was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver, and no drug tax stamp.

Banks was taken to the Dawson County jail.
