Two St. Pat’s High School seniors were awarded $1,000 scholarships on Feb. 2 during the annual “CASH for College” competition.
For the seventh year, the North Platte Catholic Schools Endowment-Trust, Inc. has teamed up with Pro Printing & Graphics, NebraskaLand National Bank, and the Mike & Alison Noffsinger family to offer scholarship dollars to St. Pat’s students.
Volleyball coach and Saints Letter Club sponsor Shelly Byrn encourages seniors to sign up to participate, and coordinates a fun “game of chance” to serve as halftime entertainment during designated basketball games.
This year, four senior girls competed for two scholarships.
Makenzie Davies and Gracie Rippen were both victorious in a balloon race challenge, and earned $1,000 for college.
