Norvin Dean Lowrey, 84, of North Platte passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023.
He was born Oct. 12, 1938 to Norvin & Elizabeth Lowrey in DeQueen, Ark. He was raised in El Centro, Calif., and joined the Air Force after high school graduation. He married the love of his life Nancy Walker in 1961.
Just before going into the Air Force, his special friends invited him to a small Baptist Church where he heard the gospel message and trusted Christ as Savior in April 1956. The Lord watched over his walk of faith which resulted in many years of fruitful ministry.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lowrey; children, Anita (Steve) Lehman and Neil (Mary) Lowrey; grandchildren, Shea (Laura) Lehman, Devon (James) Logwood, Katelyn Lowrey and Lauren Lowrey; and great-grandchildren, Pennie Lehman & Barrett Lehman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norvin and Elizabeth; and sister, Nedra Faye Lowrey.
Memorial services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 25 at Grace Community Bible Church with Pastor Mike Wing officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Fort McPherson National Veterans Cemetery, near Maxwell. Carpenter Memorial Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
