The River City Mixed Chorus, Nebraska’s largest LGBTQ arts organization with more than 100 performers, will travel to North Platte on Saturday, May 18 to perform a free concert.
The concert will be held in North Platte from 2-2:45 p.m. at Church of Our Savior, 203 W. Fourth.
The concert will feature iconic songs from Broadway, film and the pop charts that have affected and shaped our lives over the last 35 years.
A reception for chorus and audience members will follow the concert.
“The mission of the chorus is to create exceptional musical experiences to support diversity, inspire change and empower communities. In this effort, we understand the importance of sharing our music and message with audiences outside of our Omaha home,” chorus Artistic Director Dr. A. Barron Breland said.
The concert is free and open to the public. Seating is limited, so arrive early for best seats.
After the North Platte concert, the Chorus will travel to Hastings to perform from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, 422 N. Burlington Ave.
