Larry Stobbs receives ‘Above and Beyond’ award

The Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation has presented Larry Stobbs with the “Above and Beyond Award” for his contributions to the foundation and many other community causes.

Stobbs was honored at the foundation’s annual celebration on Friday, April 12. He has served 17 years on Mid-Nebraska Community Foundation’s Board of Directors, including two years as president.

“The Community Foundation is excited to honor Larry Stobbs for how he has supported our mission and made this area an even better place to live,” Executive Director Eric Seacrest said. “Larry looks for opportunities to serve whatever organization he joins. He goes above and beyond. Larry doesn’t seek recognition, yet he certainly deserves it.”

Stobbs and his wife Paula have supported many financial funds at the Community Foundation, benefiting worthy causes in this area, Seacrest said.
