U.S. Attorney Jan Sharp announced Tuesday that Nicole T. Beattie, 29, of Kearney, was sentenced in federal court to 151 months (more than 12.5 years) for possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine.

The sentence includes five years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.

Sharp said on Oct. 29, 2020, law officers searched Beattie’s home in Kearney and found Beattie and two others in a room with suspected meth, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia.

Elsewhere in the house, officers found a case containing two bags of methamphetamine. A lab confirmed that the substance was about 381 grams of meth, of which at least 338 grams was actual meth and the rest was a mixture.

This case was investigated by the Central Nebraska Drug/Safe Streets task force, Sharp said.
