Drug distribution charges against Hannah Clark and Jessie Hughes advanced to Furnas County District Court Monday, Aug. 6.
Clark is currently out of jail on bond, but Hughes is still incarcerated, with bond set at $150,000.
The couple was arrested July 24 at their home in Beaver City, following a year-long investigation, Furnas County Sheriff Kurt Kapperman said.
They are charged with a series of crimes.
Hughes, 36, is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a controlled substance without a tax stamp.
Clark, 32, is also charged with meth possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a controlled substance without a tax stamp.
Each of them also is charged with child abuse and possession of stolen property (a handgun) less than $500 in value.
The couple lived at 721 Fourth St. in Beaver City when they were arrested.
