BEAVER CITY, Neb., Sept. 3, 2020 — The first of 10 defendants arrested in an alleged underage sex trafficking ring pleaded not guilty to all 15 charges against him in Furnas County District Court.
The charges are in connection with alleged incidents involving a minor female from June 2019 through January 2020.
William “Billy” Quinn’s attorney submitted documents indicating Quinn pleaded not guilty to five counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child, two counts of human sex trafficking of a minor, three counts of manufacturing a visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct, two counts of possession of visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct, two counts of enticement by electronic communication device and one count of child abuse.
Some of the charges carry a possible penalty of life in prison.
No date for the 56-year-old Oxford man’s next court appearance has been set.
Nine other Southwest Nebraska men face charges in connection with the alleged underage sex trafficking ring. They include Justin Brooks of Arapahoe, Paul D. Brooks of Arapahoe , Robert Mustin of Oxford, Carl Kramer of Oxford; Dylan Brooks of Omaha; Joseph H. Baumbach of McCook, Terry L. Smith of Oxford, Jacob Kramer of Oxford and Bucky Weaver of Oxford.
