The Wallace Lady Wildcats lost to South Platte and Paxton on Thursday and Friday.

On Thursday, Wallace lost, 54-47, at South Platte.

The Wildcats (3-7) were down 20-14 at the end of the first quarter. But they worked to only be down by two, 42-40, at the end of the third quarter. But they couldn’t overtake the Knights (8-4) in the fourth quarter.

Karlie Finley and Reagan Pelster each scored nine points in the loss.

South Platte was led by Haily Koenen with 18.

On Friday, Wallace lost, 49-40, at home against Paxton.

Paxton (9-2) built their lead gradually over the first three quarters. The Wildcats were able to pull within single digits in the fourth quarter but that was about it and they lost their second game of the weekend.

Wallace was led by Finley with 14.

Ella Fote had 17 to lead Paxton.

Next, the Wildcats will play at Dundy County-Stratton on Jan. 17.
