North Platte High School qualified seven wrestlers for the state wrestling meet on Saturday at districts at the Dawg House.
Bulldog grapplers Braiden Ruffin, Darian Diaz, Jayson Scott, Jordan Barber, Jaylan Ruffin, Cash Arensdorf and Gavyn Brauer all advanced, finishing in the top four at the district meet.
In team standings, the Columbus Discoverers were the champion with 186 points.
NPHS finished fifth with 94.5 points.
The Discoverers were followed by Omaha Burke (171.5), Millard South (151) and Papillion-LaVista South (128.5).
North Platte finished ahead of Omaha Central (85.5), Lincoln Northeast (56) and Lincoln North Star (39).
Braiden Ruffin, North Platte’s two-time defending state champion in the 170-pound weight class, was pinned by Carson Zwingman of Columbus in the finals.
Scott and Barber also took second place in their divisions.
In the finals at 120 lbs., Barber lost an 8-5 decision to Colton Kiner of Papillion South. Scott lost 6-5 to Carter Kucera of Columbus in the finals at 126.
Diaz finished third at 113.
Jaylan Ruffin (106), Brauer (138) and Arensdorf (145), finished fourth.
The state meet takes place Feb. 15-17 in Omaha.
