A North Platte Community College student is charged with dealing drugs from his dormitory room.

Trey Bahler, 19, of Lamar, Colo. was arrested Thursday and taken to the Lincoln County jail.

College staff previously found drug paraphernalia and marijuana edibles in Bahler’s room and asked the Nebraska State Patrol to investigate, NSP spokesman Cody Thomas said.

Troopers brought a drug detection dog to the campus parking lot, and the dog indicated the presence of drugs from Bahler’s 2013 Dodge Dart. There were two grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car, Thomas said.

Troopers searched Bahler’s room and found 10 grams of marijuana, 11 doses of suspected marijuana edibles, about one pint of suspected hash butter, a dose of suspected LSD, drug paraphernalia and more than $5,000 of suspected drug money, Thomas said.

Thomas said more charges may be added pending lab testing.
