Michele Marie Jensen, 70, of North Platte passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Great Plains Health. She was born March 28, 1947 to Milton and Lauretta Authier at Huron, S.D. She went to school in Woonsocket, S.D., where she grew up and met and married Marvin K. Jensen.
In 1965, they moved to Simi Valley, Calif. where they lived until 1972, when her husband took a job with Northwestern Public Service in Aberdeen, S.D., transferring to North Platte in 1974.
She enjoyed being a housewife, staying home and raising their children. She enjoyed her flowers, jigsaw puzzles, camping and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin; sons, Jeffrey (Danine) of Sioux Falls, S.D. and Clint (Jennifer) of North Platte; grandchildren, Ryan, Jodi (Ernesto), Jennifer, Jason (Joana), Jordan, and Jessica; great granddaughters, Maleia, Taylor, and Ellie; great grandsons, Adam, Nolan, and Maddex; brother, Richard (Betty Lou) Authier of St. Paul, Minn.; sisters, Leanne (Steve) Savage of Lake Havasu, Calif. and Janet Hinker of Woonsocket; nine nephews; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 12 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which is in care of arrangements. Burial will be at 3 p.m. on March 13 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
