René Magana, 43, of Grand Island, was sentenced Thursday, April 12 to 10 years in prison for possession of 50 grams or more of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. After his release from prison, Magana will serve five years on supervised release.
On Dec. 29, 2016, a search warrant was executed at Magana’s home in Grand Island. Law officers found at least 54 grams of actual (pure) methamphetamine along with a digital scale and small plastic self-seal baggies, U.S. Attorney Joseph P. Kelly of Nebraska said.
This case was investigated by the Central Nebraska Drug & Safe Streets Task Force, a collaboration of law officers.
