World War I was the theme for the June 2 meeting of the George Morton Chapter of Colonial Dames of the Seventeenth Century.
Members shared poems, songs, and facts of the “War That Was to End All Wars.”
This is the 100 anniversary year of the end of World War I. The armistice was signed Nov. 11, 1918.
Present for the meeting were Kay Blair and Vicki Wilkinson from Grand Island, Linda Mins and Jackie Ohlmann from Lexington, Sharon Ann Louden from Ellsworth, LeeAnn Merrihew from Ashby, Darlene Hall from Mullen, Cheryl Clark from Elwood, and Margaret Bader from Johnson Lake.
The By-Laws were also revised, Bader said.
