Administrative salaries at the North Platte schools have been discussed at school board committee meetings for weeks, and on Monday the public will have the opportunity to talk to the full board.
The North Platte school board will consider salaries for superintendent, administrators as well as teachers when the board meets at 5:30 p.m. Monday.
Administrative salaries are scheduled only for discussion, with a vote planned in April.
On the other hand, the board is expected to vote on teachers’ salaries.
For teachers, the base pay for the 2018-19 school year would be $36,950 a year, under the negotiated agreement on the board agenda.
That amount is unchanged from this year.
The district is facing a second consecutive year of a nearly $1 million reduction in state aid.
The vote on teachers’ salaries is the only vote scheduled at the meeting. It is near the end of the meeting, after a series of reports that normally last an hour or longer.
Public comments will be taken before the board votes on teachers’ salaries, according to the agenda.
School board meetings are held at the McKinley Education Center, 301 West F St.
