Lee was born June 21, 1948 to George and Frances (Murray) Ralston in Curtis, NE. There was a flooded bridge that couldn’t be crossed so he was born in his paternal grandparent’s home. He was the third of six children growing up in Stockville, NE. He went to school in Stockville until the High School closed and then graduated from University of Nebraska School of Agriculture, Curtis, NE, in 1966. After graduation, he joined the Army Reserves and served for approximately 12 years.

Lee married Donna Tryon March 1, 1968 and to this union was born a daughter, Rebecca Lee (Becky). They lived their married life in Scottsbluff, Lincoln, Grand Island, and North Platte, NE while Lee transferred for work with Farmers Mutual Insurance Company. Lee and Donna later divorced. He was baptized and became a member of The United Methodist Church in McCook, NE in 1984. On November 5, 1984 Lee joined Deborah Baumfalk (Farber) in marriage. They lived in McCook, NE until 1992 and then moved to North Platte, NE. Lee worked as an insurance adjuster for Farmers Mutual for more than 35 years.

Lee enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, golfing, riding his motorcycle with Deb, and was a ham radio operator. He enjoyed talking to people all over the world. After retirement, Lee and Deb traveled to Arizona for the winters and Hart Ranch Resort in South Dakota for summers with their 5th wheel for several years.

Lee was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Alice Hinton, and brother, John Ralston.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah; daughter, Becky (Michael) Beckman of Thompson Falls, MT; step children, Dennis (Angie) Baumfalk and Jill Richardson of North Platte, NE; grandchildren Madison Derr and Makenzie Derr of Kearney, NE; step grandchildren, Tom Beckman and Paige Beckman of San Diego, CA, Chelcie Baumfalk of Edmond, OK, Corbin Baumfalk of Stillwater, OK, and Jordan Richardson of North Platte, NE along with two step great grandchildren. Lee is also survived by two sisters, Connie (Jim) Starck and Linda Monte of North Platte, NE, brother, Kenneth (Kathy) Ralston of McCook, NE; sister-in-law, Janie Ralston of Maywood, NE; brother-in-law Jack Hinton of Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Cremation was chosen and it was Lee’s wish that no formal memorial service be held.
