Kate Andersen Brower, will deliver a town hall lecture about the White House on Tuesday, April 14 at 10:30 a.m. at the North Platte Fox Theater.
Brower is an American journalist and author who covered the White House during the first term of President Barack Obama. She has written four books about the inner workings of the presidential residence and offices.
In The Residence, Brower reveals real-life stories behind the scenes of the private world of the White House, talking about events and experiences of service staff and the famous families they serve.
She has also written books about the First Women (2017), the vice presidents (2018), the five living presidents in 2020, and a biography of Elizabeth Taylor (2022.)
Brower’s appearance is part of the North Platte Town Hall Lecture Series. A limited number of individual tickets are available for purchase for this lecture from Betty at 308.530.8448.

On May 6, Cece Moore will present real-life stories of a DNA detective. Moore will be the final speaker for the 2025-26 season.
