Postal service jobs are open in North Platte and interested people are encouraged to apply.

Four city carriers are needed, plus three rural carriers and two processing clerks, North Platte Postmaster Kristine Pritchett told the Bulletin in December.

Applicants must be age 18 or over, have a high school diploma, be registered with selective service, and have no felony criminal record. They will be trained on the job.

Pay starts around $18 for clerks, $21 an hour for city carriers and $26 an hour for rural carriers, plus benefits, Pritchett said.
