Investigators with the Central Nebraska Drug and Safe Streets task force arrested two people in Kearney on Friday and charged them with distribution.

On Jan. 3, investigators executed a search warrant at 1000 Fourth Avenue #28 in Kearney, where they found methamphetamine, hydrocodone pills, marijuana, digital scales and drug paraphernalia, Nebraska State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas said.

Thomas said officers also found an automatic knife there.

Katherina Dydel, 49, and Christopher Hines, 42, of Kearney were apprehended and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony and two lesser charges — possession of more than an ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Dydel was also arrested on a prior charge of three counts of meth distribution, Thomas said.

Both suspects were placed in the Buffalo County jail.

The operation included investigators from the Nebraska State Patrol, Kearney Police Department, Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office and Adams County Sheriff’s Office, Thomas said.
