State troopers arrested an Arizona man Friday after finding more than 20 pounds of suspected fentanyl pills and methamphetamine during a traffic stop on I-80.
Around 3:10 p.m. Friday., a trooper saw an eastbound, speeding Nissan Altima near York. During the stop, an NSP drug detection dog indicated the odor of a controlled substance in the vehicle.
A search turned up numerous packages containing about 19 pounds of suspected fentanyl pills as well as five pounds of meth, NSP spokesman Cody Thomas said. The total weight of the pills was about 19 pounds along with five pounds of suspected methamphetamine.
The driver, Thomas Henry, 36, of Williams, Ariz., was charged with possession of controlled substances and possession with intent to deliver. He was taken to the York County Jail.
