The North Platte St. Pat’s boys’ track and field team finished second on Friday at the South Platte Valley Association meet in Imperial.

The Irish scored 125 points, 51 points behind Chase County.

St. Pat’s won seven events. Jaxon Knisley won the 110 meter hurdles at 13.94 seconds, winning by a second and a half. Knisley’s time is tied with Luke Brachle of Kearney for the best this season among all classes in the state.

Sutton Tickle won the 300 hurdles at 41.98 seconds, edging Kale DaMoude of Hershey in a photo finish. Tickle also won the triple jump with a distance of 43’2 1/2″, defeating Kole Clevenger of Chase County by three and a half feet.

Mason Giebler won the 100 and 200 meters. His time in the 100 was 10.75 seconds. He defeated Eli Smith of Hershey by two-tenths of a second. In the 200, Giebler clocked in at 22.1 seconds, defeating Ryder Potts of Perkins County by two-tenths of a second.

Logan Dodson won the shot put at 53’8″, defeating Michael Salinas of Hershey by a foot and a half.

Hershey finished fourth with 63 points behind the second place finishes of DaMoude, Smith and Salinas.

Hershey’s Frederick wins shot put, discus

Addison Frederick of Hershey won the girls’ shot put and discus at the SPVA.

Frederick won the shot put with a distance of 35’1″, defeating Miranda Spady of Chase County by five inches. In the discus, Frederick won with 132’11”, winning by 16 feet.

The two victories by Frederick helped the Lady Panthers finish third with 79 points. Chase County won with a dominant 240 points and Perkins County edged Hershey for second place by one point with 80.

St. Pat’s finished fifth with 40.
