Ashley Robertson of Wallace won the 1600 and 3200 meters at the E. Lee Todd Invitational at Perkins County on Saturday.
Robertson won the 1600 with a time of 5:44.93, defeating Madison Potts of Perkins County by 12 seconds. In the 3200, Robertson won at 12:41.03, defeating Potts by 17 seconds.
Robertson also ran the leadoff leg of the Lady Wildcats’ winning 4-x-800 relay. She, along with Elliana Robertson, Riggin Kettler and Ryleigh Hanson, clocked in at 11:21.67. They defeated the only other competitor in the race, Garden County, by 36 seconds.
Those three victories helped Wallace finish second among six teams with 100 points. Perkins County was first with 255.
Sutherland was third with 95 points. They were led by Fallyn Elfeldt, who won a four-way tie in the pole vault at 7’6″. The Lady Sailors also won the throwers relay with Eliana Dyer, Morgan Krajewski, Gracyn Elfeldt and Bryer Brown.
Wallace boys finish third
The Wallace boys finished third with 104 points. The Wildcats were five points away from runner-up Hyannis. Perkins County was first with 239.
Wallace had one first place finish as Colt Franklin won the long jump at 18’0″. He defeated Maddex McConnell of Paxton by nine inches.
Sutherland finished fifth with 71 points and they also won one event. Jackson Saner won the pole vault at 12’6″. His teammate, Tristan Woolf, was second at 10’6″.
