The North Platte High boys’ and girls’ swimming teams combined to win five events at a triangular against Kearney and Grand Island on Tuesday.
Three of the wins came from the boys. Tucker Talbott won the 50-yard freestyle at 22.36 seconds, defeating Barrett Suminski of Grand Island by three tenths of a second.
Jaxon Minshull won the 100 breaststroke at 1:08.68, defeating Ezekiel Wilson of Grand Island by six tenths of a second.
For the girls, Ella Klug won the 100 breaststroke at 1:14.74, defeating Alivia Parks of Kearney by two seconds.
Both the boys and girls took home the 400 freestyle relay. The boys with Jordan Erdman, Will Cox, Minshull and Talbott clocked in at 3:55.75. They blew past second place Kearney by 27 seconds.
The girls with Tzeitel Wehr, Ziva Koontz, Klug and Lexie Minshull won at 4:15.86 as they edged Kearney by eight hundredths of a second.
Next, the Bulldogs will compete in a triangular against McCook and Hastings in Hastings on Friday.
