Nebraska State Patrol investigators arrested two men late last week as part of child enticement investigation.

NSP spokesman Cody Thomas said in April, both suspects began communicating online with an state patrol investigator who was posing as a 14-year-old girl. In separate communications, each man arranged to meet for a sexual encounter with what he believed to be the girl.

On Thursday night, May 1, state troopers and investigators showed up at the designated meeting locations and arrested both men.

The first arrest occurred at a park in Hastings around 10 p.m. Troopers found and arrested the suspect, Guillermo Lopez Campos, 32, of Harvard. He was placed in the Adams County jail.

The second arrest occurred outside a grocery store in Grand Island around 11:40 p.m. Investigators found and arrested the suspect, Oscar Linares Mendez, 23, of Grand Island.
