A service will be held Friday in Denison, Texas for Stacy Polenske, whose body was found Oct. 5 on the east edge of North Platte.

Polenske went missing on Sept. 30. Her body was found at 5 p.m. Oct. 5 by a Nebraska State Patrol helicopter, in the vicinity of where her van was found on Tuesday, Oct. 2, just east of the North Platte city limits.

Polenske was reported missing on Oct. 1 at 5:21 p.m. in the 800 block of West 11th.

The cause of her death was not criminal.

Police were told that Polenske, 51, left home at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 30.

Stacy Polenske was born in Denison, Texas and attended school there. She completed her LVN nursing degree in North Platte.

According to her obituary, she is survived by her son Brent Polenske, Jr. (Alisha), two daughters Taylor Ulmer and Jaycie Polenske, grandson Xavier Ulmer, mother Shirley Whitley, sister Tara Hestily (Ryan), and nephews Zachary and Logan Hestily, and neice Haylee Hestily. She was preceded in death by her father David Brock.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct 12, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lighthouse Church in Denison, Texas with Rev. Raymond England officiating.
