Scott Stephen Lousberg, 61, passed away on June 1, 2025 at his home in North Platte.
Born one of six children to Duane and Lois (Klatka) Lousberg, Scott entered the world on November 29, 1963, in Venango, NE. He was raised in the Southwestern town in Nebraska, the same place he attended grade school and graduated high school from.
On February 29, 1988, Scott entered the United States Air Force and served the country until May of 1989, stationing in Pensacola, FL. Upon discharging from the military, Scott returned to Nebraska where his daughters, Jessica and Chelsea were raised, and stayed in the midwestern state until his passing. Scott was a man of leisure, creating for himself the path he wanted to take and committing to that path regardless of what those around him had to say about it. His free time was often spent in the outdoors, where he could be found relaxing by the lake with a fishing pole or camping.
Survivors of Scott include his daughters, Jessica (Stefan) Sloggett and Chelsea (Kevin) Lousberg; grandchildren, Zoie and Zander; daughter at heart, Stacy; and four siblings.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Lois; and brother, Russell.
The family requests memorials be directed to the local VA. Expressions of sympathy and live streaming of the service can be found at www.adamsswanson.com, preceding Scott’s obituary.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Friday, June 13 at 11 AM at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, NE. The register book may be signed from 9 AM to 4 PM on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is coordinating funeral arrangements.
