Robert “Bob” Dean Frazier of North Platte died March 30, 2026 at Great Plains Health Hospital after battling thyroid cancer for twelve years. He spent his final moments surrounded by his family.
Bob was born on February 1st, 1957 to James P. and Anna Frazier. He spent his childhood in North Platte, where graduated in the class of 1975. Upon graduation he started working at the University of Nebraska West Central Research and Extension Center. He embarked on an almost 50 year long career as a mechanic, officially retiring in March of 2024. Bob enjoyed fishing in his younger years. He had a love for mechanics and tinkering with anything with an engine and wheels. He loved watching thunderstorms roll in from his front porch. You could also find him at auctions on any given Saturday finding treasures and future projects. Bob devoted his life to his family.
Bob is survived by his children; Brian Frazier (Sara Frazier), Sandy Wolf (Matt Marnitz) and Randy Frazier, his grandkids; Anna Wolf, Cyrus Frazier, Isabella Frazier and Mercedes Wolf, and his siblings; William Frazier (Judy Frazier) and Betty Palmere (Mark Palmere). He was preceded in death by his father James P. Frazier and his mother Anna Frazier.
Funeral services were at Carpenter Memorial Chapel on Monday, April 6 with Rev. Mark Baldwin officiating. Burial followed at the North Platte Cemetery.
