Weather permitting, work will begin on Monday, April 21 on I-80 in the Brady area.
The work includes bridge repair and asphalt resurfacing for about eight miles, from about two miles west of Brady east to reference post 205.62, the Nebraska Department of Transportation said.
An 11-foot width restriction will be in place. The anticipated completion is fall 2025. Western Engineering Company, Inc., of Harlan, Iowa, is the contractor.
The purpose of this project is to preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the
transportation system and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public, NDOT said.
Motorists should expect reduced speeds and lane reductions within the work zones and are reminded to
drive cautiously through highway construction zones, the announcement said.
