The North Platte library’s noon program series is featuring people from our area with unique hobbies, careers and experiences.

The next free program is at noon on Thursday, March 14 with musician Rascal Martinez as the featured speaker.

Many of you have probably heard Rascal play in different venues in Lincoln County, when he isn’t on the road performing across the U.S.

Rascal’s multi-instrumentalist career began in his family basement in Sutherland,  learning guitar and drums and playing alongside his older brother.

The library’s noon program coordinator, Terri Johnson,  asked Rascal, now living in Denver, if he would present a noon program, talking about his musical journey and maybe sing a few songs, and the staff was delighted when he said yes.

The library requests advance reservations to help  plan seating.  Please call the library at 535-8036, Ext. 3310 to reserve seats.

Seating in the room is limited to 70 people.
