Randy Hershel Miles, 66, of North Platte died Nov. 1, 2025 at Great Plains Health.

He was born on Dec. 27, 1958 in Kimball to Benny and Thelma (Schmer) Miles.

Randy graduated from Verdigre High School with the class of 1977. He entered the U.S. Army and served in Germany for two years serving a total of five years. Randy lived in Brush, Wiggins, Colo., and Lynch, Neb.

He also worked on farms in the Hershey area and operated his own contracting business for a while. He worked for Ron and Leta Bea Roth for over the last 20 years.

Survivors include his son, Benjamin (Erica) Miles of Cottonwood, Ariz.; mother, Thelma Miles of North Platte; brother, Allen (Julie) Miles of North Platte; two nephews; and many cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father; Benjamin’s mother, Terri Hall; Michelle Miles and Melody Ann Boyer.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6 at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bob Deardoff officiating. Book signing will be Wednesday from noon-5 p.m. Carpenter Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
