On Tuesday, Sept. 24, North Platte Police received information that psilocybin mushrooms were under cultivation in a home in the 2200 block of E. Fifth.

A search warrant was obtained and served at 2:35 p.m. that afternoon. Three suspects — Dylan Willis, Sevryn Iamurri and Emily McCook — were arrested.

Deputy Police Chief Kendall Allison said the investigation showed Willis, 29, and Iamurri, 32, were growing mushrooms where minor children had unguarded access to them.

Willis and Iamurri were charged with manufacturing and possession of a controlled substance as well as felony child abuse. McCook, 25, is also charged with child abuse.  All three are in the Lincoln County jail. The children, who did not seem to be harmed, were placed in emergency protective custody with the department of health and human services.

Bonds of $75,000 were set for Willis and Iamurri. McCook is held on a $15.000 bond, according to sheriff’s records. It is Iamurri’s seventh arrest in Lincoln County since July 2019.
