The North Platte police are investigating the deaths of two North Platte residents after their bodies were discovered at a residence in the 2700 block of W. 20th St. early in the morning of Sunday, June 28.
Police spokesman Sgt. Jeremiah Johnson said officers were dispatched around 1:21 a.m. and confirmed two deceased individuals inside the home. They were identified as 35-year-old Ashley Navarrete, 35, Johnathan Navarrete, 35.
Johnson said investigators processed the scene, secured the residence, and executed a search warrant in the investigation., which is continuing.
The cause and manner of death were undetermined as of mid-afternoon Tuesday, June 30.
Johnson said the investigation remains active pending completion of the autopsy, and receipt of the final autopsy report.
