The North Platte Plainsmen scored the last 11 runs on Sunday to defeat the Gem City Bison of Laramie, Wyo., 14-5, at Bill Wood Field to capture the three-game series.

“We just came out and competed,” Plainsmen coach J.M. Kelly said. “The guys did a good job of not giving in after game one. It would’ve been easy for the guys to get flustered after the way game one was played. But they did a good job of resetting and coming back in game two and then today, we came out and competed. (Carlton) Perkins gave us a really good start and from there, we just took off.”
