A four-day PFA Pickleball Round-Up will be held in North Platte on June 8-11 at the Memorial Park pickleball courts. 

The event will kick-off at 9 a.m. on Thursday, June 8 with a celebrity “Paddle Battle” with sponsors and first responders paired with eight junior-division players to compete in the annual exhibition match, organizer Barb Baldridge said.  

The following will be competing:

For the sponsors: Mark Werkmeister, Professional Financial Advisors, LLC Mark Mayfield, Professional Financial Advisors, LLC

For the First Responders:

NP Police Sgt. Lisa Citta, Officers Jim Hagan, Russ Poe and Andrew Freeze. State Trooper Kelli Nichelson of the Special Operations Division/Aviation. Lincoln County Sheriff Detention Officer Kaleb King.

For the juniors (ages 12-16): Tim Blakely, Sutton Tickle, Peyton Kramer, Logan Robirds, Colton Ham, Jonathan Rinke, Khloe Riley and Deangelo Mata.

Tee shirts will be provided for each participant and available for pickup before the tournament or at check in.  

All participants need to check in by 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 8 @ the Memorial Park Pickleball Courts. Play will begin immediately after the National Anthem at 9 a.m.

There will be 8 teams in the tournament, comprised of one adult and one junior.

All teams will play each other in one 11-point game and then be seeded based on points.  Tourney play will be one 15-point game to 15, single elimination.  The championship will be awarded to the team that wins 2 out of 3 11-point games, each by a margin of two or more points.

Medals will be given to the top three teams. Group pictures will be taken before play begins and medals will be presented around 10:30 a.m., after the tournament.
