Baby Oakley Jayne Smith, age 2 months, moved on to her heavenly home Thursday, July 17, 2025.
Oakley was born April 29, 2025, in North Platte to Isaiah and Rebecca Smith. Just 52 hours later, she was life-flighted to Omaha Children’s Hospital where she received care until her surgery that allowed her to return home. During this time frame, her parents visited her every weekend, often taking her brothers and sister with them to see her. They filled the time they had together making memories and photographing every moment. After her surgery, she was allowed to go home. There she stayed with her family for six days before God called her to her eternal home with Him. From there she is watching over her family and awaiting their blessed reunion in heaven.
