North Platte Housing Authority Executive Director Seanna Collins has received an award for outstanding service.

Collins received the Orville Stanton Memorial award for Distinguished Service at the Nebraska Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials conference in Kearney on Sept. 20.

Collins has worked in the affordable housing arena for more than 16 years.

The Orville Stanton Award honors an individual who works tirelessly for the promotion of safe and affordable housing in the state.

It is Nebraska NAHRO’s highest recognition award.

Her nominating letter describes her as a mentor to other housing agencies across the state.

“Her leadership, influence, and support has helped many others in the housing world within our state and region,” the letter says. “She is always willing to share and help others learn and grow in their positions. She is very well respected amongst those she works with and as well as other housing professionals across the state. Seanna is extremely dedicated to her work. She has an extremely challenging job and performs it very, very, well.”
