A mobile food pantry will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at North Platte High School.
Boxes of food will be given away from 1 p.m. until the food is gone.
This is an open-air, drive-thru distribution. Patrons will drive their car through a line and volunteers will bring the boxed food to the car. There is no charge.
Three hundred and twenty-five households will be served on a first-come-first-serve basis. The giveaway is sponsored by the Food Bank of the Heartland.
The lineup will begin outside of the school parking lot next to the tennis courts. Do not come into the parking lot before the semi-truck unloads. Use only the entrance closest to the tennis courts to avoid congestion.
To receive a box of food, cars will drive up to the gate by the northeast corner of the football field.
Do not park and get out of your car for any reason. Volunteers will bring the boxes to your car.
