A Minnesota woman was arrested on I-80 Friday night and charged with possession of 5.5 pounds of marijuana.
A state trooper pulled Anna McArthur, 34, of Mahnomen, Minn. over for a defective headlight around 8:45 p.m., two miles east of the Hershey exit. She was eastbound.
During the traffic stop, the trooper became suspicious of criminal activity and searched the vehicle, Nebraska State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas said. The search turned up 5.5 pounds of marijuana.
McArthur was charged with possession of more than a pound of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute, and not having a drug tax stamp. Bond was set at $150,000.
