On March 17, I received a “Sorry We Missed You” notice from the postal service in my mailbox. It was a final notice of certified mail.
No one came to my door notifying me that I had certified mail. I was home all day.
The notice said the article would be returned to sender on Friday, March 27.
On March 18, I took the notice to the post office and they couldn’t find it. Then they showed me that the first notice had been on Feb. 2 and the certified mail was returned unclaimed. I was not notified of it. I never received the first notice.
To this day I don’t know where it was from.
On another day, I had mail delivered to me belonging to four other addresses. I called the post office and told them about it, and they said to put it back in my mailbox with a note. I put the mail back in my mailbox with a note saying, “Delivered to wrong mailbox.”
I don’t know how many days went by before they were delivered correctly.
This week, a package addressed to me was delivered to the neighbor across the street. The neighbor was kind enough to bring it to me.
All in all, the postal service is pretty sad.
