The North Platte Legion baseball organization is rebuilding and looking for new coaches.

Board member Anthony Kuhlman said the board felt the need “to make a change to bring North Platte back to the powerhouse it used to be.”

“We want to be more competitive again,” Kuhlman said.

There are four new members on the six-person board of directors, elected by the families of the players. Bob Lindemeier is the president of the board.

The board is accepting applications for head coaches and assistant coaches for the junior and senior teams.

They hope to find local coaches who are familiar with the history of North Platte Legion baseball.

The board is also working on improvements to the schedule, and to the facilities.

“We want to make major improvements,” Kuhlman said.

In addition to Lindemeier, the board members are Vice-President Justin Janas, Treasurer Gretchen Swift, Bill Munson, Kuhlman and Dan Seamann.
