The North Platte High girls’ golf team is in first place after the first day of the state meet in Norfolk.

On Monday, the Lady Bulldogs got a score of 324. Lincoln Pius X is in second with 337 and Millard North is third with 345.

Baylee Steele led NPHS with a 77, which puts her in third place. Nicole Kolbas of Pius is the leader at 71 and Kaitlyn Hanna of Omaha Westside is second at 74.

Steele’s teammate, Karsen Morrison, is fourth with a 78.

Maya Lashley got 83 and Kaylee Carlson got 86, while Abbie Jones had 92.

The second and last day of state will be played on Tuesday.
