Jeffrey Ellis “Jeff” Foreman, 78, passed away May 18, 2023 at home.

He was born Dec. 25, 1944 to Ellis and Donna (Jeffrey) Foreman in Sioux City, Iowa.

Jeff grew up in Creighton and Albion and graduated from Albion High School. He attended University of Nebraska at Lincoln for a year then enlisted in the United States Army, serving in Korea. After his honorable discharge, he attended Kearney State College where he also met Linda Sue Gorsuch. They were married June 1, 1968 in Mullen.

The couple lived in Albion, where he was the manager of Carhart-Foreman Lumber. Jeff later became a certified real estate appraiser in the Albion and Kearney areas. Jeff was very involved in the Albion Community where he was a member of the VFW and masonic lodge, served on several boards, was chair of the Boone County Democratic party, and was an active member of the Episcopal Church. The couple then moved to Kearney in 1996 and to North Platte in 2009 where Jeff retired and Linda was the director of the Area Agency on Aging.

Jeff was a skilled carpenter and built the family home in Albion. He enjoyed wood working, restoring old cars, gardening, and the ham radio community. He was an avid animal lover and family was the center of his life. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Survivors include wife, Linda of North Platte; children, Kristina (Aaron) Wright of Kearney and Kimberly Danish of Denver; grandchildren, Kale (Rachel) Wright of Kearney, Emily Wright of Omaha, Annika Danish of Denver; great grandson, Heath Wright; sister, Donna Foreman of Seattle, Wash.; numerous other family members and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Donna; sister, Nancy Fransecky.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
