Weather permitting, work will resume on Monday, March 10 on I-80, between Ogallala and Roscoe, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Construction of a temporary ramp, installation of street lighting, concrete paving in a new Ogallala westbound rest-area, and traffic control items will be performed.  W.W. Clyde of Englewood, Colo. is the contractor.

Traffic will be maintained with lane closures in both directions. A 12-foot width restriction will be in effect. The anticipated completion is next fall.

The NDOT said the purpose of this project is to preserve the transportation asset, improve the reliability of the system, and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public.

Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and to put phones down.
