Messiah Lutheran church will present a unique worship experience, “Encounters with Heaven,” presented by Heavenly Harp music ministry at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 16 at the church at 2700 West A. St.
Harpist/vocalist/storyteller Karin Gunderson and vocalist Amanda Pace take their audience on a journey, interweaving elegant harp music and vocal harmonies with true stories of those who have experienced God’s surprising presence in encounters with heaven, miracles, angels, Jesus and more, organizers say.
Their repertoire includes beautiful renditions of peaceful Christian music and beloved hymns that the congregation is invited to sing with them.
One recent concert attendee exclaimed, “Heaven can’t be much more beautiful than this!”
Karin and Amanda will stop in North Platte on a summer concert tour across nine states as they travel Arizona to Wisconsin and back.
Gunderson founded Heavenly Harp music ministry in 2004. She is author of the book “Encounters with Heaven – Stories of God’s Surprising Presence,” which contains 100 heavenly stories, organizers say.
Her book, musical CDs and DVDs will be available for signing at the concert.
