Gregory Niles Beach of North Platte, Nebraska died on June 20, 2025. He was born on January 10, 1947.

Gregory worked at the Gerald Gentleman Station and Mid-Plains Community College. In later years, he was a ready-to-serve volunteer. He loved listening to children read at Jefferson Elementary and Lincoln Elementary schools, helping many students to learn to read better. He logged 3,000 hours during his 16 years of volunteering.

He was always welcome at the RSVP office and the kitchen of the North Platte Senior Center. One could say that he would do anything for anybody even if he had to take the public transit bus to get there.

Gregory was a kind, kind man. He grew up in New York and loved the lighthouse that was near where he lived. He always wore a lighthouse sweater and possessed a huge collection of lighthouses.

He always had a story to tell. He loved the RSVP hamburger bash in the spring and always attended the annual volunteer recognition dinner, and would help clean up and carry things out for the caterers when the meal was over.

Gregory was truly an example that life is not measured by how much a person owns.
