The Rural Workforce Shot in the Arm $1.2 million housing incentive program was a combined effort of the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, the North Platte Area Chamber and Development Corporation, the city of North Platte, Great Plains Health and the Union Pacific “Community Ties Giving” program.

The North Platte area is expected to build about 100 new housing units through the program, Person said.
