Gloria Etta Ruppert, 81, of Maxwell passed away on Oct. 24, 2025 at Stone Hearth Estates in Gothenburg. Surrounded by her loving family.

She was born the eldest child to Roy and Flora (Denny) Law on October 30, 1943, in McCook. After graduating from Hayes County in 1961, Gloria married her high school sweetheart and long-time love, Allen Ruppert, on November 18, 1962, at the Evergreen Union Church in Hayes County, NE. The couple welcomed six children into their lives. Gloria lovingly dedicated those early years to nurturing them, embodying the true spirit of a patient and devoted mother and wife. The family moved to Maxwell in the early 70’s and Gloria began working as the Village Clerk of Maxwell. Soon after, she decided to take a job which she surely loved as a cook at Maxwell Public School until 1991. Gloria joined her husband working at Overheard Door as a secretary, guiding and aiding the staff, including her husband until their retirement.
