Elyn Bargmann of North Platte was recently diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma, a rare, fast-growing type of cancer.
“This energetic, fun loving 10-year-old spent much of December in the hospital receiving treatment and will continue to receive treatment for the next several months,” her friends and family say.
Bargmann is a fifth grader at Eisenhower Elementary. Her parents, Kaily and Tracy, are hardworking, active members of the community. They have been balancing life in the hospital with Elyn and life at home with their five-year-old, Alex.
A fundraiser will be held in support of the Bargmann family on Saturday, Jan. 29 at the D&N Event Center in North Platte. There will be fun jumps, face painting and fire trucks on display.
A cornhole tournament will begin at 10 a.m. Lunch is from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. A live auction will begin at 1 p.m. A silent auction ends at 2:30 p.m.
There will be many fine auction items to bid on, organizers say. Contact Amanda Zeller for more info at 530-3206
